Can I use my own engineer?
An engineer is included in the booking. If you have an engineer you prefer working with, please include it in your initial booking.
Is editing, tuning, mixing, and/or mastering included in the rate for the room?
The rate includes use of the studio, equipment, and an engineer if you paid for one. You're more than welcome to ask the engineer to start on these services during the session if there is still time left. However, if you've reached the end of the session time, all extra services will have to be negotiated with the engineer.
What recording programs do you use at your studio?
We use Pro Tools Ultimate exclusively. We are not set up to accomadate other DAWs at this time.
What are your hours?
We typically work 8 hours days from 10am-6pm with a lunch break around 2pm. If you need hours shifted, please let us know at the time of your booking.
Can I smoke in the studio?
We provide a smoking area outside the studio on the back porch.
How do I book a a session?
As the studio is mainly for UP/DOWN Records use, we take on very few external bookings. However, if you are interested and have a flexible timeline, please head to the Contact page on this site.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled session, your deposit can be applied towards a new session. If notice is not given before 48 hours, your deposit will be forfeited and not applied to any future sessions. All sessions must be rescheduled within 30 days. Canceling or rescheduling a single day hourly session will result in Full Payment being required to hold all future sessions.
